I don't know where else this would be best put out into the world than a blog. So here I am. My grandmothers handwriting was hard to read in the best of times making this translation difficult. By the time she really began work on her bestiary her age had deteriorated her handwriting even further. Yet, despite the challenges, I felt compelled to share the tales of the mysterious creatures she meticulously documented.

As I sift through the faded pages of my grandmother's notes, I am struck by the rich tapestry of imagination and folklore woven into her descriptions. These creatures remind us of the wonders that exist just beyond our perception, urging us to explore the unknown and embrace the stories that shape our world.

In sharing these tales, I hope to honor my grandmother's legacy and inspire others to look for the magic in their surroundings. After all, the world is full of mysteries waiting to be uncovered, and sometimes, all it takes is a little curiosity and an open heart.
